We’re looking for a Senior HR Generalist who genuinely cares about people, takes pride in doing HR well and wants to play an active role in shaping the workplace.
This is a hands-on role for someone energetic and resourceful. On any given day, you may be running payroll, guiding the HR team, supporting an employee, advising a client or finding a better way to approach an HR issue.
You should take ownership, speak up when something can be improved and be willing to challenge conventional HR practices. At the same time, you understand that strong HR is built on accuracy, fairness, confidentiality, compliance and trust.

Team Coordination and Development
Work closely with the Malaysian HR team to coordinate and prioritise day-to-day responsibilities.
Provide guidance and review support to ensure HR documentation, payroll and statutory submissions are completed accurately and promptly.
Support team members in navigating more complex employee relations, compliance and performance matters.
Share HR knowledge, mentor team members and serve as a trusted point of support when additional guidance is needed.
HR Operations
Manage the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, confirmation, employment changes and offboarding.
Prepare employment contracts, employee letters and other HR correspondence.
Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS information and confidential documentation.
Develop and improve HR policies, SOPs, templates and internal practices.
Prepare HR reports and provide management with useful people insights.
Identify HR risks or operational gaps and take ownership of addressing them.
Client Advisory and EOR Support
Serve as a key HR contact for Singapore-based clients with employees engaged in Malaysia through the Company’s Employer of Record services.
Advise clients on Malaysian employment practices and matters involving probation, performance, leave, discipline and cessation of employment.
Translate client requirements into practical and legally compliant HR actions.
Coordinate with employees, clients and the internal HR teams to ensure employment matters are managed smoothly.
Collaborate with the Singapore HR team on shared matters, while maintaining clear country ownership of Malaysian and Singaporean employees.
Balance client expectations with the employee experience and the Company’s responsibilities as the legal employer.
Identify potential employment or compliance risks and recommend appropriate actions.
Payroll and Statutory Compliance
Oversee and process monthly payroll accurately and on time.
Manage Malaysian statutory requirements, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, income tax and HRDF.
Prepare and review EA Forms, CP8D, Form E, CP22, CP22A and other applicable submissions.
Maintain the necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
Liaise with government authorities, payroll providers and external vendors.
Monitor legislative changes and advise the team, management and clients on the necessary actions.
Performance, Employee Relations and Engagement
Coordinate probation reviews, performance reviews and Performance Improvement Plans.
Guide managers and clients in setting expectations and addressing performance concerns fairly and consistently.
Advise on employee relations, misconduct and disciplinary matters.
Ensure performance and disciplinary processes are properly documented.
Manage sensitive employee matters with professionalism and sound judgement.
Support engagement, wellness and communication initiatives that strengthen workplace culture.
Listen to employee feedback and turn recurring concerns into practical recommendations.

Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field.
3–5 years of relevant HR operations or generalist experience.
Experience leading, mentoring or coordinating the work of an HR team.
Hands-on experience in Malaysian payroll and statutory compliance.
Strong knowledge of the Malaysian Employment Act and requirements relating to EPF, SOCSO, EIS, income tax and HRDF.
Experience supporting multiple companies, external clients or EOR operations is an advantage.
Comfortable advising Singapore-based clients and stakeholders on Malaysian employment matters.
Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms such as Info-Tech is preferred.
Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Able to handle confidential matters, work independently and make sound decisions.
Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
