We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Assistant Manager/Senior Executive to take the lead role in forming a new team in Kuala Lumpur for our company in the Company Secretary Industry. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in the field and possess strong financial and accounting knowledge, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead the formation of a new finance team in Kuala Lumpur.
Develop and implement financial and accounting policies and procedures for the new team.
Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis for the company.
Manage and maintain accurate financial records and documentation for the company.
Conduct regular financial audits and reviews to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, as well as monitoring and reporting on actual vs. budgeted performance.
Collaborate with other departments and provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
Support the Company Secretary function in ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Assist in the preparation of reports and filings for regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.
Manage and maintain relationships with external vendors, such as banks, auditors, and legal advisors.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
3-4 years of experience in finance and accounting in the Company Secretary industry.
Being familiar with all functions in the Company Secretary industry will be a bonus.
Previous experience in team leadership or management preferred.
Having a background to work in medium size auditing firm will be advantageous.
Strong knowledge of financial and accounting principles, including corporate taxation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with financial reporting software.
